Public bug reported: 1. Set the /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/remember_numlock_state to on and switch on numlock on the keyboard. 2. Log out and log in again. 3. Change the computer's hostname. 4. Log out and log in. 5. Remembering numlock no longer works.
This probably has a lot to do with the fact that gconf records the numlock state in a key called /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/host-$hostname/0/numlock_on As a side note I have no idea how to fix this afterwards! ** Affects: gconf (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed -- Changing hostname breaks numlock state saving https://launchpad.net/bugs/46959 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
