Hello, obviously, we should drop beige for dapper. I'm not able to find a color that fit well with black, beige and brown. So i build DarkDapper gdm theme using the default dapper background quite like OS X does. This is more consistent. For now, ubuntu has beige only for gdm theme. That is inconsistent.
A hack should be to xsetroot the dapper background as gdm does not in order to have a really consistent background from gdm to session. But that will be very ugly if people change their gdm theme. Also, the dapper background is really dark. This should look better enlighted.
