It's been happening since I updated to jaunty. Upside: wireless (wl driver from broadcom) now works stably unlike only other "working" driver ndiswrapper. Also, video doesn't crash as often and I get less heat reboots. Downside: this. (also much python breakage)
for frequency: mostly I avoid the situation as it's hard losing work - which I do every time this happens. once a week (roughly) for screensaver crashes. suspend/resume about 50% failure. Nothing was visible in those logs before - but I'll check next crash. I've even had it happen a couple of times during an apt update - but those never surprise me when using "unstable" distro. (if only stable worked reliably on my hardware!) I've a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop - in case that helps. -- session crashing randomly - may be power management issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/341344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
