Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
2.6.28-8-generic #25-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 24 01:50:03 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux I was running a bit low on battery so I tried to suspend my laptop. Normally I don't have any problems with suspend, but today it took longer than usual and some error info was printed to the console about a freeze failure concerning gnome-power-manager. Eventually my laptop came back to life in a numbed-down way and it froze when I shut it down. After an Alt+SysReq reboot I repeated the suspend and the same things happened. After I had rebooted again and connected the mains I had no problem suspending and resuming. Unfortunately I don't have the pm-suspend log left from the incident but I'm attaching an excerpt from /var/log/messages that I think is relevant. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [jaunty] gnome-power-manager crashed in suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334259 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
