Running a fully updated dapper here. The volume I'm trying to mount is
an ext3 partition on my SATA drive, which I made user-mountable adding
it to /etc/pmount.allow. The behaviour is quite odd, as I have already
stated: double clicking the icon in nautilus actually causes the volume
to get mounted, but nautilus doesn't seem to get notified of the
succesful mount, in fact the icon won't even turn into a "mounted
volume". Hitting the refresh button seems to sort it out though. And no,
the "places" menu doesn't get updated accordingly, neither is the newly
mounted volume displayed on the desktop. For what concerns the dbus
issue I was hinting at, I read on the forums something is amiss with
dbub since mounted volumes no longer show up on the desktop, I thought
this might be kind of related. Let me know please if you need some extra
info! Have a nice day, andre
