I'm not able to reproduce this using dapper 20060520. Does this also happen when you trash the link first or is it important you move the file test.txt to the trash first? What are the file permissions of the file test.txt and the link? Look in a terminal with the command ls -l. What appropriate command did you use on terminal to delete the link, sudo rm filename or just rm filename?
