Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

My Canon SD500 takes short video clips which are saved as avi files. The older
version of f-spot on Ubuntu 8.04 imported these along with the jpg files.
The new version (0.5.0.3) on Ubuntu 8.10 does not import the avi files.
It shows the avi files, counts them in the totals for number of files and seems
to go through the motions of importing them.
It gives a screen message that it is importing the avi files but does not
import them.

This new version also imports all photos into the /Photos directory
unlike the old version which made new folders for each date and time...
how can I restore the old behaviour.

** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
