I couldn't find an upstream ticket for this, but I still wonder how to track this further down somewhere between rhythmbox and HAL before upstreaming... - start "/usr/bin/rhythmbox" and provide any shell output - maybe "dmesg | tail" also prints out some potential problems with the iRiver hardware
