Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
What I expected to Happen: Time displayed in evolution calendar (as indicated by the Marcus Bains line) should match system time (as displayed on the panel clock, date command, etc). What happens instead: the time evolution uses internally doesn't match the system clock settings (out by one hour). Both the system locale and the evolution locale are Australia/Perth. I think that it is related to the timezone data, as there is no option to apply daylight savings corrections for Australia/Perth in evolution (we currently are in daylight savings time). Appointments are displayed at the right time, but notifications are an hour late due to the lag between evolution's time and the system time. (evolution thinks that we are UTC+8. Whereas system says UTC+9, which is correct). lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 apt-cache policy evolution evolution: Installed: 2.24.1-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 2.24.1-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 2.24.1-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://mirror.cs.curtin.edu.au intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- time in evolution (calendar) doesn't match system setting (same locales) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/319856 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
