Hi,
Thanks for your prompt response. Here's some detail
I've Kubuntu 8.10 which i upgraded to JJ 9.01.
1. After OS upgrade, avant window navigator app crashed possibly due to lack of
support in 9.01, following which konsole started behaving weirdly.
2. I've konsole (KDE terminal and not gnome-terminal) and I had expected it to
work normally even though avant crashed.
3. KDE crashed subsequently and even after logging back in konsole was broken.
I had to bring up a new instance.
Yes, it happened few times. I didn't try entering "reset" as i couldn't see
anything on konsole, no prompt, no cursor, so was not sure it could really
accept any input.
Thanks again,
Murali.

Subject: [Bug 318945] Re: Empty screen on Konsole

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Are you able to reproduce this?
Are you talking about gnome-terminal (The one that starts if you press alt+f2
and enter gnome-terminal)?

What happens if you enter "reset<enter>" when your terminal is blank?

greetings

Martin
