Hi folks,

I know that we can't hide a folder or file in ubuntu directly by
changing any properties. But we can do it in an indirect way.
that means renaming the file or folder that starts with an .<filename>
for example:
selva is the initial file name and renaming it as .selva will prevent the file
from others unless they are using ls -a
.But I have used an approach .I have renamed a folder in my desktop selva to
.selva and I refreshed my desktop .I couldn't see the file.cool I have opened
the file manager nautilus and moved on the edit -->preferences-->show hidden
files
(ctrl + H)and backup files .I could see the hidden folder. But when I am
refreshing my desktop I couldn't see the particular folder. How come this could
be possible. As per the logic I have to see the hidden folder in the desktop to
as I am selecting to view all the hidden files and folder .But I couldn't view
it.Please fix this bug.

Thanks & Regards,
Karthick Selvakumaran.P
