Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
My entire music collection is FLAC-encoded, so when I drag music from rhythmbox to my device, it should convert it to a format that's supported by my player. It used to (in intrepid) convert to MP3, and this worked great, but in jaunty rhythmbox creates m4a files, and while that shouldn't be a problem (the device should support MPEG4 Audio, according to mtp-detect; most built-in ringtones are .aac), the files won't play. Tags are read correctly, it can also see the track length, but it won't play the files. mtp-detect output: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/download.php?group_id=158745&atid=809061&file_id=298635&aid=2190252 ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Generated m4a files for mtp device don't play on device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/316337 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
