Vincent, I agree that the "Reading printer database" window looks unprofessional. Several people reported in bug #39604 and duplicates that it takes around 10 seconds before the gnome-cups-add window is shown. I think for this short time we don't need a dialog, a simple busy cursor indicating to the user he has to wait a bit would be enough. The same should be done for showing printer properties and deleting a printer.
