8.04 with all patches still has the issue. I have not reloaded an 8.04 system lately - applying all available updates right away verses one that has been in use and gradually gotten updates as available.
I am thinking to do some testing with 8.10, so I will put that on my list of things to test. For production, unfortunately I need Parallels. They do not even have "official" support for 8.04 yet, and no test builds for 8.10.
