I think maybe there's several distinct bugs here. On my Dell Inspiron 630m (From Australia, has US keyboard afaik), Fn+Esc is also reported as XF86Mail rather than as the suspend key. showkey at a text vt says that Fn+Esc is keycode 142. That's one bug.
I also have Mutt as my Mail Reader in the Preferred Applications in Gnome. If I set "Launch email client" to Ctrl+Alt+M (I usually have it disabled) and then hit that key combo, I get a blank gnome-terminal and a dialog saying "There was an error creating the child process for this terminal". That's a separate bug I think. Finally, there's the bug that caused hitting suspend to try perform the "Launch email client" action, which started affecting Mary today. I have no idea what might suddenly cause that. -- XF86Mail is identical to suspend keyboard shortcut https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
