Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I was having trouble with DAAP shares in Rhythmbox. The error was non- descript and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I could see the available music, but not play. When playing I received a complaint that *appeared* to be about being able to authenticate. It turned out that I didn't have the appropriate restricted drivers installed. I found that out when attempting to play a local MP3 file and was told the available codec was unavailable. It would be nice if the DAAP plugin would prompt with the same error when the codecs are not available.
