Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
1) Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release : 8.10 2) gnome-power-manager: Installed: 2.24.0-0ubuntu8 3) I expected my laptop to resume/thaw following automatic hibernation. 4) I switched my laptop on and it booted normally, as if it never went into hibernation (suspend to disc). I allowed the battery to discharge and watched the popups appear to warn me that the computer would hibernate within n minutes and eventually that the computer was going to hibernate. It hibernated automatically and switched off. When I switched it on again, the laptop didn't restore/thaw. I checked /var/log/pm-suspend.log (attached) and can see entries for the hibernate, yet nothing for resume. I tested a manual hibernate and the laptop resumes without problems. What can I do to help track down the problem? ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Resume ignored after auto-hibernate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305126 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
