Public bug reported: Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Needs Info
Description: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg Since I installed yesterdays (May, 8th) updates I'm encountering the problem, that gdm only starts the defaultLayout declared in xorg.conf although the commandline within in my gdm.conf looks essentially like '/usr/X11R6/bin/X -layout MyLayout' 'xinit /usr/X11R6/bin/X -layout MyLayout' from the commandline fails to start the desired screen-layout as well, whereas 'startx -layout MyLayout' does the desired job. Markus Running a multiseat-setup with dapper-beta where this option is definitely important (and worked perfectly on Sunday, May 7th) -- dapper: X ignores commandline-switch -layout https://launchpad.net/bugs/43879 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
