update-alternatives --display firefox-homepage firefox-homepage - status is manual. link currently points to /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en/kubuntu/about-kubuntu/index.html /usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/firefox-index.html - priority 40 slave firefox-homepage-locales: /usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/locales-ubuntu /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en/kubuntu/about-kubuntu/index.html - priority 40 slave firefox-homepage-locales: /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en/kubuntu/about-kubuntu/locales Current `best' version is /usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/firefox-index.html. after executing as root update-alternatives --auto firefox-homepage it worked automagically. -- bad path to firefox startpage https://launchpad.net/bugs/43483 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
