Public bug reported: Binary package hint: alacarte
First, I'm not sure that this bug is part of Alacarte but it's the closest reference I can figure out. I upgraded from Hardy to Intrepid by doing a fresh install but I retained my original /home partition/drive from hardy. After the install I noticed that my menu item Applications>Accessories had disappeared. All the items that should be in Accessories had been moved to Applications>Utilities. As far as I can tell there is no way to rename a menu folder as an easy fix. It's just strange behavior that didn't happen on a totally fresh install of Intrepid within vBox. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 alacarte: Installed: 0.11.6-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 0.11.6-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 0.11.6-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: alacarte (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Alacarte changes "Applications>Accessories" menu to "Utilities" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/301752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to alacarte in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
