I built the new package ptlib and new opal version from Debian experimental and merged Debian experimental's ekiga package.
However, when I actually tried out 3.0 I was pretty shocked to be honest. It seems to have forgotten all of my 2.x settings: accounts, call history, and it can't even read the SIP contacts out of evolution any more which were written with 2.0. Both 2.x and 3.x use gconf, and the key structure doesn't seem to be that different. In this state I'm glad that we didn't rush 3.0 into intrepid, it would have been a very unfriendly upgrade.
