Public bug reported: I am only able to change the volume using the multimedia keys on my laptop when gnome settings daemon is running. The other keys such as S1, AV Mode, Rewind, Forward, Stop, Play/Pause work fine with keytouch. The volume keys on the other hand only work when gnome-settings-daemon is running.
Since this app takes 15MB to run it would be nice if these keys could be handled by keytouch instead. This app uses approx 6MB less and is needed anyway for a large majority of multimedia keys.
