I am having the problem with a green screen in cheese or skype. I use a logitech quickcam zoom: Bus 002 Device 007: ID 046d:08b4 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Zoom Ekiga and camorama work. Also if I run gstreamer-properties and test the webcam it works after about 30 seconds or so (it sits there for a while before the video comes up).
