I'm getting this same bug aswell. Upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 beta yesterday. I had the same problem under 8.04 aswell.
Places > Computer gives "Nautilus cannot handle computer: locations". Places > Network gives "Nautilus cannot handle network: locations". The Trash icon gives me the error "Sorry. Couldn't display all the contents of "trash". Operation not supported."
