could be that gnome-panel was not using gio correctly in hardy (there
was some issues which has been fixed this cycle) so it was not
respecting the application selected, the current intrepid behaviour is
correct and nautilus doesn't write buggy configuration either, not sure
what could be changed for users who changed the association by error in
hardy though
