Public bug reported: Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed
Description: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver OK this is not a bug, but it's a very annoying usability problem. when watching movies, if lock screen while screensaver is active is enabled if you don't move the mouse within 3 or so seconds when the fade out happens, you have to type in your password. It makes watching movies very annoying, so annoying i actually disabled the locking action. You should be able to set when it will lock, or it should wait a little bit longer after engaging the screensaver before it actually locks the screen. Say 30 seconds. that way if you are watching a movie you don't have to keep putting your password in every 5 minutes. -- screensaver usability is horrible with lock screen enabled https://launchpad.net/bugs/43026 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
