Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ekiga
Ubuntu intrepid ibex 8.10 beta (updated) Ekiga should understand the prefix plus + sign instead of "00" for international pc-to-phone calls. A reason would be that in some countries they use 99 instead of 00. Another reason would that many people provide their number with a plus "+" prefix. Ekiga, as it is, does not detect the + prefix as a pc-to-phone number and tries to connect to something, though I don't know where (probably as a pc-to-pc?) $ apt-cache policy ekiga ekiga: Installed: 2.0.12-0ubuntu5 Candidate: 2.0.12-0ubuntu5 Version table: *** 2.0.12-0ubuntu5 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: ekiga (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ekiga should understand the plus + sign for international pc-to-phone calls https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283444 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to ekiga in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
