Hi this was so long ago that I had forgotten about it.
I managed to solve it in the end by using Snaptic package manager and listing 
broken items then I discovered there was a "repair" option, which I used. 

Now have different problems with Evolution freezing during compose, will
post separately.

Please close this thread/bug
