I prefer to use the smaller Main Menu version the HUGE default Menu Bar.
But the problem is the first time you click on Main Menu there is a
substance lag before the menu pops up. There is no lag when using Menu
Bar or on subsequent Main Menu access. Just the first one. This has
been present for many releases.
