I am finding hard to reproduce this bug using gnome-terminal --working- directory due to some weird behavior it displays. However, this simple test should demonstrate why the vars in gedit tools should be quoted:
create a new tool with the following code: -- snip -- #!/bin/sh zenity --info --text=$GEDIT_CURRENT_DOCUMENT_DIR && zenity --info --text="$GEDIT_CURRENT_DOCUMENT_DIR" -- /snip -- and try it in a folder with spaces in its name. In regards to gnome-terminal, not finding the folder passed in "--working-directory=" will make it default to some other - and (i have no idea why) - it's defaulting to my testing directory in my desktop...
