Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

When using Search -> Replace... (Ctrl + H) functionality, and inputing into
"Replace with" a '\n', gedit replaces the text with a new line instead of the
expected '\n'.
Reason: The program does not change the \n into a slash and an n in it's code
