Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
Following updates on August 22, 2008, the Gnome Terminal will not accept
a lower case 'a' key. Capital 'A' works fine, and the lowercase 'a' is
accepted in every other application on my desktop including Tilda.
gnome-terminal is launched using the default launcher with the command
"gnome-terminal".
There are no parameters supplied to the application from the launcher.
I am using the default profile for the terminal. The only changes I
have made are:
1) Through the Appearance Preferences tool I have set the fonts to the
following:
Application font: Sans : 7
Document font : Sans : 7
Desktop font : Sans : 6
Window title font : Sans Bold : 7
Fixed width font : Monospace : 7
Use Subpixel Smoothing.
2) I have set a custom prompt in my .bashrc of :
PS1=\[\e]0;[EMAIL PROTECTED] \[\e[33m\]\w\[\e[0m\]\n\$
At the time the problem was noticed, the only application that had been
launched following a sucessful launch was Gnome-Terminal.
The lowercase 'a' is the only key that is not accepted by the Gnome-
Terminal.
