Binary package hint: eog
When trying to open an image file with eog (either via CLI or by "Open
with..." in GUI) the application fails to launch correctly. In either
case, an eog process is started and then goes into sleep status, but no
window is opened. This happens with all image files of various types.
Launched from CLI:
~/Pictures$ eog DSC00334.JPG &
[1] 16126
~/Pictures$ ps 16126

After launched from GUI:
~/Pictures$ ps ax | grep eog

Opening eog via CLI with no arguments works fine (used this to generate
bug report). Once the window opens it is possible to load images via
drag-and-drop or via the File -- Open menu.
I tried reinstalling package once. I also attempted gdb as mentioned on
the debugging wiki, but I honestly don't really know how to use it and
did not have any luck.
