You have been subscribed to a public bug: In hardy (Ubuntu 8.04) something seems to have gone terribly wrong with the quit applet.
Clicking this applet in the panel simply logs the user out. There is no confirmation to verify that the click was intentional. Further, the description of the applet includes options to shut down, hibernate, etc. These options are not offered the user, except as alternatives to logging in as another user after the current session has terminated. The proper behavior, and this is the way the logout/quit applet worked in dapper, is, when the user clicks the icon, to offer the user the options of cancel, log out, shut down, hibernate, suspend, etc. ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- panel applet quit FUBAR https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
