Thanks for the link Sebastien, I marked this bug Invalid because I have not seen a repro (been asked to submit another crash report), since I first submitted. Further I reinstalled from scratch because I got bit by https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245888, so now I have a different version of nautilus than the one that crashed.
For the future if you know of a way to get to the ddebs site so I can get symbols for Valgrind or what I might be doing wrong please let me know. =========== I added the following apt sources (per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash link), but get errors trying to update the indexes. deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com intrepid main universe deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com intrepid-updates main universe deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com intrepid-proposed main universe deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com intrepid-security main universe When I use Firefox to navigate to (example) http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/dists/intrepid/universe/binary-amd64/Packages and scroll down, the download speed is only around 13 KiB/s, so maybe if I try again later I'll be able to get to these sites OK (like the default intrepid sites). -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in malloc() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245365 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
