I can confirm this bug. I can't type anything into the deskbar when running XGL. I can paste text into the deskbar, but I can't type anything.
It only happens when running XGL. When I stop the XGL server, deskbar works fine -- but when I start XGL back up, the deskbar stops working. Could this be due to the way XGL treats windows?
