Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

1. I used apt-get install postgres-8.1
2. The installation seemed to be working fine. However at the end I got a
message that the version is obsolete and I had to close the window.
3. After that whenever I try to use either apt-get of the Synaptic Package
Manager I am told that the DPKG was interrupted and I need to corect this with
dpkg -- configure -a.
4. The error does not seem to get corrected and I am not able to use the SPM
any more.
