I must say that I am really impressed with the new old splash in Dapper. I downloaded Dapper beta yesterday to stay up-to-date on the out of the box functionality and after today's GIMP update I was both shocked and hugely relieved to find the changed splash, it looks really really great and blends in perfectly.
I hope it stays this way, or at least anything but the green rusty dial.
