Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gedit
system: intrepid ibex kernel 2.6.24-16
cpu: i386
gedit_2.23.1-0ubuntu1
gedit-common_2.23.1-0ubuntu1
nautilus_1:2.23.3-0ubuntu1
nautilus-data_1:2.23.3-0ubuntu1
After upgrade gedit (2.22.3-0ubuntu1) to 2.23.1-0ubuntu1 and gedit-
common (2.22.3-0ubuntu1) to 2.23.1-0ubuntu1 the following happens:
If I select an textfile to be displayed in gedit (my editor > set
preferences inside nautilus > gedit) every first call gedit will not
start - it will be displayed in the statusline shortly and deleted short
time later (half sec. up to one sec.).
Inside the folder /var/log/ -> 'syslog' as well as > 'kern.log' the
lines shown in attachment are added - no more or less!
If I call e.g. 'file.txt' second time shortly again, then gedit opens
and work still fine.
After closing gedit and selecting inside the same folder another file -
all works OK.
Selecting another file in a different folder, the malfunction is
reproduceable and a new line will be added to the log-files.
