Same bug for me. Since upgrading to Hardy, opening PDF documents in maximized evince freezes on the loading page until the window is unmaximized. The last status of the window is saved, so closing evince with unmaximized window means it will reopen unmaximized as well, and everythings works correctly. Bug closing evince with maximized window means it will reopen maximized and freeze on the loading page.
