You have been subscribed to a public bug: Step 1. Installed 8.04 with no issues.
Step 2. Updated to official latest taking all Security and all the available Distribution updates. Rebooted as prompted. Issue 1. Upon logging back in I noticed the Deleted Items Applet had disappear or so I thought. Step 3. Tried re-adding applet, but saw nothing. Discovered the applet is there but no image. Right clicking about and you can find it. Step 4. Created a file and then deleted it and then decided to go to alternate plan and empty via Nautilus. Issue 2. The 'Empty Deleted Items' in the Nautilus file menu is grayed out and not active to empty the bin. Step 4. Right clicked about and opened bin. The file deleted was present and in the file menu the option 'Empty Deleted Items' was active and works. Updating to all current proposed packages does not fix this issue and is still present. This is a major functionality bug. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Deleted Items Panel Applet does not appear in Hardy + Updates also + Proposed 2008/06/04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237478 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
