Binary package hint: evolution
A couple of months ago I made a fresh install of Gutsy. I have been happily
using Evolution since then without ever seeing the keyring dialogue. In April I
upgraded to Hardy, and a bit later I changed my password. After the last
update, I suddenly see the keyring asking for a password when I open Evolution.
It does not respond to my current password, but luckily I remember my old
password and try it: that does the trick.
I can think of several scenarios why this happens, but it looks like a bug of
some sort. What it is and whether it needs fixing is worth looking at,
greetings and thanks for this beautiful piece of software,
