I had a similar problem while coding an openAL program. I found a simple fix by using asoundconf
asoundconf set-pulseaudio This makes alsa go via the long route, through pulseaudio, rather than straight to the sound devices. Works fine so far. I haven't restarted yet, but assume that won't be a problem. -- Pulseaudio is blocking normal sound after resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202089 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
