Additional information: it happens precisely when I logout from current X-session via the button in GNOME-panel. I did check with after a fresh boot absolutely no additional x-applications started (by me). It also happens (of course) when I logout from x-session, switch to virtual terminal 1, login as root, issue commands: /etc/init.d/gdm stop /etc/init.d/gdm start It also happens during every shutdown.
I carefully observed the timestamp in /var/log/messages and it occurs exactly when I log-out from the x-session. So I do not have any chance to backtrace according to http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash. -- nautilus regularly causes segfaults https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231725 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
