Public bug reported: When trying to connect to a tightvnc server on a solaris *SPARC* machine then the colours all have a yellow hue. Connecting to a tightvnc server on a solaris *X86* machine the colours are correctly displayed (same for a linux machine on an x86 platform). My guess is that vinagre (or gtk- vnc) is not able to distinguish between little-endian and big-endian vnc connections. Trying to use vncviewer (from xvnc4viewer) shows the colours correctly in all cases.
Reproducability: always How: Start a vncserver on a solaris sparc. Start vinagre on the Ubuntu machine and connect. Colours are off. Start a vncserver on a solaris x86. Start vinagre on the Ubuntu machine and connect. Colours are good. ** Affects: vinagre (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Connecting to a little-endian machine screws up colour https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231833 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to vinagre in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
