Thanks for your bug report. "mounting a connection to a server in this manner (though requested ssh) results in an sftp connection that is mounted at the desktop." Yes, this is doing exactly what you requested it to do, making a network mount. Also note that "ssh:" is just an internal alias for "sftp:"; they do the exact same thing.
"the mount folder disappears after the session has ended." Yes, mounts are not persistent across sessions, this is doing exactly what it should do. "though the 'bookmarks' remain at the [Places] toolbar and seemingly cannot be deleted." This is interesting, can you give more information on how exactly it "cannot be deleted"? If you press ctrl+b in a Nautilus window, you can't remove it from the places menu there? If you right click it in a browser window and select "remove", you can't remove it there? Lastly, if it crashes: please try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- 'connect to server' crashes nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231715 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
