You have been subscribed to a public bug:
No sound is played for the logout function on either the Gutsy or Hardy
final release versions.
When I go into the System/Preferences/Sound section, the sound for the
logout function WILL play just fine there but it will not play when the
actual logout, restart or shutdown function is performed.
The LOGIN sound seems to play correctly in both the Sound section and
also when performing the actual login function.
