** Summary changed:

- Can't move window
+ Problems with Nautilus / X-server

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: nautilus
+ Binary package hint: nautilus, X-server

  1) Ubuntu Hardy
- 2) Just downloaded and installed the build that was released 24.04.2008
- 3) I moved the mouse over the titlebar and clicked the right mouse button.
This in order to move the window. When I start moving the mouse while holding
the mouse button down it does not move. The hand is there for a few seconds,
but then it seems like it slips. Normally I would be able to move the window
around. System runs without much Compiz stuff on it, and no wobbling.
- 4) The hand goes back to an arrow and it is not possible to move the window.
-
- I have not been able to create some debug-information, so if someone could
please tell me how to do this, I will very much like to do so.
- I will how ever reinstall Hardy today and tell the installer to format /boot
/ partitions so that I know that those partitions are empty.
+ 2) When moving a window with Compiz on the hand slips. With Compiz off the
window is first maximized before it is possible to move it. If I select areas
on the desktop sometimes the selected area does not disappear. Also moving the
mouse over icons doesn't highlight them. Sometimes I can't choose the icons or
anything on the desktop. I have to right click and get a pop up menu before I
can click on the desktop again.
+ Moving icons ends up opening up the document or start the program.
+ 3) Should work like this:
+ * Icons should highlight when mouse moves over.
+ * Windows shall not maximize when you move them around.
+ * Desktop should be refreshed and cleaned when an area is selected.
+ * Programs should not start when trying to move the icon. Documents should
not open when trying to move icon.
