Thank you for your bug report. You seem to know what you are doing,
maybe you could open this one directly on bugzilla.gnome.org? The
desktop team doesn't has the ressources to work on the bugs which are
opened at the moment and it would make the job easier for everybody if
you could open the bug directly upstream rather than relying on a bug
triager to act as proxy for you and forwarding bugs comments between the
bug trackers
