Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

After upgrading I cannot get into graphical mode.

Could be this:
gdm[5153]:  CRITICAL: gdm_config_value_get_bool: assertion `value->type ==
GDM_CONFIG_VALUE_BOOL' failed

Here is where it gives up, I think:
gdm[5153]: WARNING: Failed to start X server several times in a short time
period; disabling display :0

So the terminal works. I can log in, etc.
There was a window for debugging X server, but I don't know what I am doing.

I installed a old version on another partition to get here.
Obviously, there is some problem with the upgrade.
Granted, if I know more I may be able to fix the gdm problem...but I don't.
Please help.
